SUBMISSIONS

Please note that this page is exclusively reserved for submitting short story entries for the Assemble Artifacts Magazine. Any other form of literary material such as screenplays, treatments, pitches, or any other formats will not be considered for review. Thank you for your understanding.
We do not accept e-mail or any submissions outside of the below form.
Assemble Artifacts is looking for High-Concept stories of wonder and suspense. We prefer stories of at least 5,000 words but are open to longer and shorter works. We accept stories of all genres but are especially interested in high-concept Horror and Grounded Sci-Fi for our upcoming issue. A minimum of 5,000 words is preferred, but longer or shorter works are also welcome.
Please include a one to three-sentence pitch of your story and an author bio with your submission. We are open to writers of all levels of experience. We can't wait to read your submissions!
All submissions will only be reviewed if the entire form is completed. Submitting, partial or complete, you acknowledge and agree that it will still be subject to the terms below. If you want your submission to be considered, you must enter your name in the designated field and check the box indicating your unconditional acceptance of the following terms.
1. You are the sole owner and author of the work you are submitting and have the full right and authorization to submit it to us. I confirm that the material I am submitting has not been published elsewhere and is not planned to be published elsewhere and that all media rights, including the rights to adapt it for film/tv, audio, and other mediums, are available at the time of my submission.
2. You agree that Assemble Artifacts, Assemble Media LLC, and its affiliates, related entities, employees, and agents are not obligated to you regarding the submitted material unless specified in a signed written agreement between us and that the agreement will include additional terms for printed publication, including publication in Artifacts Magazine and for the shopping of media rights (such as film, television, video games, audiobooks, etc.). While Assemble's Film/TV production division will be attached to produce any media adaptation, writers still own their underlying rights and negotiate and approve any such deal for the licensing and/or sale of of such rights for adaptation.
3. You acknowledge that Assemble Artifacts, Assemble Media LLC, its affiliates, related entities, employees, and agents may be involved in developing, producing, and/or managing material for publishing, motion pictures, television, and other media. As such, we may be searching for and developing ideas, stories, and suggestions that may be similar to the theme, plot, idea, format, or other element of the material you have submitted. By submitting your material to us, you agree that you will not be entitled to any compensation if we use similar material.
4. You release and hold harmless Assemble Artifacts, Assemble Media LLC, and its affiliates, related entities, employees, and agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, disclosed and undisclosed, arising out of or in any way connected with your submission.
5. You agree to indemnify and defend Assemble Artifacts, Assemble Media LLC, and its affiliates, related entities, employees, and agents and its affiliates, employees, and agents against any and all claims, damages, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising out of or in connection with your submission.
6. You agree to this site's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, linked here.
7. We reserve the right to change these terms at any time. In the event we make changes to these terms, we will provide a copy of the updated terms here with the date such modifications were made indicated on this page, noted as the EFFECTIVE DATE or we may contact you to inform you about the revisions with a link to the revised.
8. You understand that, unfortunately, due to the large volume of submissions we receive, we are unable to respond to each one.
