ASSEMBLE MEDIA is a multi-platform production, finance and IP creation company specializing in independently-spirited and commercially-minded content. Founded by director/producer Jack Heller, the company develops, produces and finances its own unique work as well as the work of like-minded filmmakers. Upcoming projects include Gia Coppola’s MAINSTREAM, starring Andrew Garfield, Maya Hawke, Nat Wolff, and Jason Schwartzman. Recent credits include S. Craig Zahler’s BRAWL IN CELL BLOCK 99, which premiered at the 2017 Venice International Film Festival and stars Vince Vaughn, Jennifer Carpenter, and Don Johnson; and Zahler’s action-thriller DRAGGED ACROSS CONCRETE (Venice 2018) starring Mel Gibson, Vince Vaughn, and Tory Kittles.
With a team that includes experts hailing from the distribution, sales, publishing, production, and finance worlds, Assemble’s multi-platform approach to creating content spans across film, TV, digital, comics, and literary. Through their specialized IP division, Assemble actively develops and packages material for the publishing industry, working with debut novelists as well as New York Times bestsellers, literary agents, editors, and publishers. The current roster includes both publishing properties and book-to-film/TV adaptations, including the AMERI-SCARES book series, which is being adapted in partnership with Margot Robbie’s Lucky Chap and Warner Horizon.

JACK HELLER is the founder and principal of Assemble MediA. Recently, Jack produced director Gia Coppola’s upcoming film MAINSTREAM starring Andrew Garfield, Maya Hawke, Nat Wolff, and Jason Schwartzman. Jack is also an Executive Producer on ZOMBIELAND: DOUBLE TAP, Starring Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, and Emma Stone; the sequel to the 2009 box office hit. Other producing credits include writer/director S. Craig Zahler’s BRAWL IN CELL BLOCK 99 starring Vince Vaughn, Jennifer Carpenter, and Don Johnson as well as Zahler’s action-thriller DRAGGED ACROSS CONCRETE starring Mel Gibson, Jennifer Carpenter, and Vince Vaughn. Both films had their world premieres at the Venice Film Festival over consecutive years.Under the subdivision Assemble Content, Jack has branched Assemble out into the world of IP Creation and book packaging. Its first packaged book, PLAYER VS. PLAYER sold in a bidding war to Bloomsbury publishing and will be released next year. The company works with both debut novelists as well as New York Times bestsellers, developing and discovering content across all genres. Previously Heller was a founding member of Caliber Media, where he produced over twenty feature films and TV shows including the critically acclaimed BONE TOMAHAWK starring Kurt Russell, Patrick Wilson, Matthew Fox & Richard Jenkins, which was nominated for two Independent Spirit Awards. Heller also created and executive produced the hit competition series STEVE AUSTIN’S BROKEN SKULL CHALLENGE which aired for five seasons on CMT. As a commercial and Music Video Director, Jack has worked with talent such as Miley Cyrus and Big Sean as well as brands including Beats By Dre, Stussy, and Pac Sun. Jack's feature film directorial debut, ENTER NOWHERE, Starred Katherine Waterston and Scott Eastwood. His second feature DARK WAS THE NIGHT was included in multiple film festivals including New York’s Film Society of Lincoln Center’s annual Scary Movies program. Jack is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where he studied film in the prestigious School of Cinematic Arts.

Assemble Partner Scott Veltri oversees the Film and TV slate at Assemble as well as all finance initiatives. Recently, Scott executive produced John Michael McDonagh's THE FORGIVEN starring Ralph Fiennes, Jessica Chastain, Chris Abbott and Caleb Landry Jones and Gia Coppola’s MAINSTREAM starring Andrew Garfield, Maya Hawke, Nat Wolff, and Jason Schwartzman. Prior to Assemble Veltri was Head of Worldwide Sales at Magnolia Pictures where he handled the international launch on over 30 independent films and managed the rights on a library of 100 + titles. He oversaw multi-territory sales on Sean Baker’s critically acclaimed TANGERINE, Sundance audience award winner THE WOLFPACK, Werner Herzog’s LO AND BEHOLD: REVERIES OF THE CONNECTED WORLD, Steve James’ LIFE ITSELF, Albert Maysles’ IRIS, Morgan Neville and Robert Gordon’s BEST OF ENEMIES and 2017’s LUCKY starring Harry Dean Stanton and David Lynch as well as a variety of genre fare including Nicolas Pesce’s THE EYES OF MY MOTHER and the all-female directed omnibus horror XX. In his free time Scott volunteers with the Ghetto Film School in the Bronx, NY and travels as a guest speaker to independent film festivals across the world.

Brendan Deneen joined Assemble Media in June 2018 after nearly a decade of working as an Executive Editor at St. Martin’s Press and Tor Books, where he edited the New York Times-bestselling WALKING DEAD book series, among many other novels and non-fiction titles. He also created and ran their parent company’s movie/TV division, Macmillan Entertainment, where he set up dozens of book-to-film projects, including sales to Warner Brothers, Fox, Sony, Universal, NBC, and CBS. Prior to that, Deneen was a development executive at Miramax and Scott Rudin Productions, and also spent several years as a literary agent, representing writers for both publishing and book-to-film deals.

Caitlin joined Assemble Media in January 2018, after working at The Gersh Agency in both Talent and International Media Financing. Prior to Gersh, she also worked in the acquisition and sales department at Viacom and HBO respectively. Caitlin graduated from Columbia University with a degree in History, Visual Arts, and Economics.
